Enjoy playing tennis in this historical building, which was built in 1942 to house military aircraft
and later converted into a tennis facility in 1972. Over the last several years, the Grosse Ile Tennis
Center has established itself as one of the finest athletic centers in the area and a great Grosse Ile
community asset. With six newly resurfaced tennis courts, a full service fitness area and fitness
studio with spinning, pilates, and other fitness classes, the Tennis Center has seen consistent growth
and usage of its facilities. The Grosse Ile Tennis Center has an extensive USTA junior tennis program
for all age groups, including club matches and practices with pros. Also offered are USTA and club
tournaments for junior through adult senior events.
